Passionate about 78rpm shellac recording, travel, collecting and vintage fashion, they tour the country playing from their hoard of over 20,000 shellac discs.

1930′s portable gramophones are used play and spin shellac and electric decks are also used. The music is all on original 78rpm shellac discs and ranges from the first electric recordings of the 20s through to 1960.

The players may be amplified and played in any size venue from the most intimate palour or pub to a large marquee or ballroom.

The collection is just about a complete history of the best in 20th century music and includes  of the 1920s, 1930s jazz era, Be-Bop, the big band sound of the 1940s, Skiffle, classic Rat Pack crooners and Rock n’ Roll, female vocalists and a huge stash of the Blues. We have a great collection of vintage Christmas songs and a hoard of pre-electric recordings from 1895 onwards which includes WWI songs, spoken word, comedy, music hall, country dancing, brass bands and bizarre sound effect recordings.We pride ourselves on getting the music right and lots of our old records are in great condition ensuring that the sound quality from our superbly maintained gramophone players is the highest “low-fi” you will hear.

We perform and entertain at a huge variety of events including festivals, weddings, press launches, charity galas, vintage balls, museums and art galleries, book and product launches, gourmet nights, speakeasies, venue openings, fetes and private parties.
