How do I enquire about booking a band/musician for my event?
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01457 866160 and tell us the date and basic details of your event and if you know what kind of music you would like. If you’re not sure at this stage, don’t worry, we will talk you through all the options.
How do I secure the booking?
Booking a band through High Peak Music could not be easier. Once we have discussed your requirements and agreed the best band for your event, we will draw up contracts and ask for £100 to secure the booking. You can pay the full balance by bank transfer, cheque, or pay the musicians on the day.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, if you decide to book one of our bands, you will be required to pay a £100 deposit to secure the booking.
I'm not sure what style of music I want, can you help?
Of course! We have bands and musicians who play a variety of styles. Take a look at the videos, pictures and descriptions on our website to give you some ideas. If you want a style not already listed, just get in touch and we may be able to organise it for you using our extensive contacts.
Why should I book High Peak Music for my event?
We provide our clients with peace of mind. All our musicians are highly professional and reliable, will be on time, well presented and most of all, provide fantastic music! We have worked as professional performing musicians for over ten years, so if in the very unlikely event of a musician being ill or unable to perform, we have the contacts to provide an outstanding alternative for you, or offer a full refund.
We only use musicians based locally which means you will not have to pay huge travel or accommodation bills bringing the overall cost down for you.
Do your musicians have public liability insurance?
Yes, all of our musicians have public liability insurance.
How do I get a quote?
Once we have talked through the music you require and all the details of your event, we will provide you with a quote. Please tell us as much information as possible about your event and the style of music you would like. Make an initial enquiry by contacting email@example.com or calling 01457 866160.
What is included in the quote?
The quote will include a standard set of two 45 minute sets of music. This is negotiable of course. If you only require 30 minutes of music for a drinks reception or wedding ceremony for example that is no problem!
Can I see the band before my event?
Most of our bands and musicians only play at private functions. However, they might be doing a public performance, so just ask and we’ll let you know. The pictures, videos and descriptions of our musicians on the website will give you an idea of their style.

What will your bands/musicians wear?
All our musicians will be very smartly dressed. We will always fit in with the theme of the event. So, for example, if its a black tie evening our musicians will be dressed appropriately. Or if there is a particular colour theme to your wedding our musicians can dress to match your colour scheme.
What music will the bands play?
All our musicians have vast repertiore lists that can be viewed on their page on the website. The music will be appropriate for the band/event. So for a wedding ceremony you might expect a string quartet to play Mendelssohn’s ‘Wedding March’ for example. Clients might pick a more contemporary song however like ‘One Day Like This’ by Elbow. It’s really up to you what you’d like to hear and if you have something specific in mind we will make it happen!
What happens during the bands break?
Our musicians will always put some appropriate music through the PA system during any breaks. If you have your own iPod or music system you’d like to use that is fine too.
Do I need to provide any equipment?
No. We come fully prepared with amplifiers, microphones and PA. In some cases bands will even bring their own lighting and smoke machine!! All we need are some plug sockets and a large enough area to set up in.
